These
are usually large thickness tiles with a wide variety of ornamental grooves and
colors made to be installed in front of shopping areas, malls, and around
gardens in touristic resorts, villas and clubs. Some models are available with
a rough surface finish which along with the surface grooves helps in increasing
the friction coefficient and prevents slipping which is particularly useful
around swimming pools, in garages with high slopes, and in playing yards in
clubs and schools. Outdoor tiles can be supplied with marble chips, granite
chips, quartz grains or plain sand in addition to the normal cement based
mixture and colors.
